Exodus Echo

All art falls in one of three categories. Man to Man, Man to Nature or Man to God.  My work is Man to God with influences of Nature.  In this piece all the trails and paths remind me of the paths the Jews took out of Egypt in the book of Exodus. 
This work is part of a series exploring black and white, and the many colors and shades within. 
I never use black paint from a tube, instead I mix my black pigments with the intent they will never be a true black.  I also introduce blues and brown to enhance the trails.
